Open House Melbourne
The Open House Melbourne Weekend invites the general public to explore outstanding private houses, significant commercial and civic buildings, infrastructure and landscapes that illustrate our rich history, reflect how we live and work, and offer insights into our future city.
The Open House Weekend is also a chance for people to challenge their opinion about architecture, build their knowledge about Melbourne’s history, learn about other cultures, and be informed about future developments that will impact the city. People get to see inside buildings and spaces that are not normally open to the public, and not only do they get to see inside, they are also treated to rich story-telling that brings the buildings to life. It truly is a celebration of the city and the people who shape it.
OHM Weekend includes a tailored program for children including the printed Children’s Program – a guide to the Weekend that includes activities by local designer Pounce Creative.
