Banksia Construction Update
The distinctive Banksia exterior has begun to take shape following the commencement of external panel installation.
To create the signature banksia wildflower-inspired façade, designed by McBride Charles Ryan, the building exteriors are being fitted with custom molded Fibreglass Reinforced Panels (FRP). FRP is a durable and flexible material, produced from high strength polyester resin combined with fibreglass reinforcement. The material was selected for use at Banksia for its high impact resilience, resistance to moisture and corrosion, and malleability suited to complex design.
Construction of the building has reached level 12, with panel installation now following from the first floor upwards.
